Hazibag UK has helped Kier Construction London win a Green World Silver Award 2016 for environmental best practice on the £21million Carterhatch Lane Project in Enfield, North London.
The project to build 150 new residences in 13 blocks used Hazibags for spill response and to store CoSHH waste and was completed in 2015.
Kier Construction London won the Green World Silver Award 2016 for the use of Hazibags as well as pallet and packaging recovery and timber recycling schemes.
Mark J. Fox, Head of Subcontract Procurement, Kier says: “This is the first time that Kier have won this award on an international stage and without Hazibag this would not have been possible! These award-winning initiatives have since been rolled out across all Kier London projects, and are key indicators that Kier and its supply chain are at the forefront of driving reductions in waste created on construction sites.”
